Fragrance load calculator for candles

Most candle batches need one number: how much oil belongs in the wax you already weighed.

A quick check helps before the pour pitcher gets crowded with guesses and half-scribbled notes.

Simple rule

Multiply the wax weight by the fragrance load. Thirty-two ounces of wax at eight percent needs 2.56 ounces of fragrance oil.

  • 6% is a cautious start for beeswax blends.
  • 8% is a common soy test point.
  • 9% to 10% is where many coconut blends land.
72.6 g of fragrance oil for 907.0 g of wax.
